For insurance carriers and brokers
Voice AI for insurance calls, with caller data in your environment
Insurance phone lines carry regulated data by default: claim details, policy numbers, health and property information. PeachDesk answers, routes, and reminds on those lines while letting you decide, per pipeline stage, whether the data leaves your environment at all. This page is part of our voice AI solutions overview.
The call workloads PeachDesk takes on
Insurance call operations share a shape: high volume, structured answers, and strict rules about who decides what. PeachDesk fits the parts of that workload that are conversational and routable:
- Claims intake routing. The agent captures the caller's details and routes the call or the record to the right claims queue, based on rules your operations team sets.
- Policy questions. Coverage dates, premium amounts, document requests: the agent answers from the policy data you connect, and hands off to a licensed agent when the question crosses that line.
- Renewal reminders. Outbound calls that remind policyholders of upcoming renewals and route interested callers back to your team.
- FNOL triage. First notice of loss intake framed precisely: the agent captures the structured report and routes it. Adjudication, coverage decisions, and liability stay with your adjusters. PeachDesk does not touch them.
Own your data, stage by stage
The honest answer to "where does caller data go" is per pipeline stage, because PeachDesk lets you choose the sourcing mode for each one. On self-hosted stages in Local mode, speech-to-text, the language model, and text-to-speech run in your environment: caller audio and transcripts for those stages stay inside it. On managed stages in Frontier mode, that stage's data goes to the cloud provider you selected. Telephony audio always transits your carrier.
Our data residency note draws this boundary stage by stage, and the deployment page covers the self-hosted options. Local mode removes the per-minute provider charge on self-hosted stages, and you pay for GPU capacity in your own environment instead.

The controls around the data
Deployment choice is half the story. The other half is what the platform does with records and credentials while it runs:
- Retention windows with automated purge. You set how long recordings and transcripts live per workspace. When the window closes, the purge deletes them.
- Credential encryption. Telephony and model provider credentials are stored encrypted, not in plaintext configuration.
- Tenant isolation with a CI guard. Isolation between organisations is enforced in code and guarded by a CI test, so the boundary cannot quietly regress in a future release.
The full control list lives on the security page.
Compliance, stated precisely
Bibha holds SOC 2 and ISO 27001, maintained at the Bibha AI Trust Center, with ISO/IEC 42001 and EU AI Act readiness in progress. We make no insurance-specific certification claims, and we will not imply one exists. If your compliance review needs a specific attestation, the fastest path is a direct conversation: bring the requirement and we will tell you exactly what exists today and what is in progress.
What it costs
PeachDesk meters by call minute on managed stages. The Pay As You Go platform charge is $59/month, and the Bibha Plan runs $0.06/minute, as low as $0.03/minute at volume. Self-hosted stages in Local mode carry no per-minute provider charge; you pay for GPU capacity in your own environment. The numbers and the trade-offs are on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Can PeachDesk handle first notice of loss calls?
Yes, as call routing and intake, not adjudication. A voice agent answers the FNOL call, captures the structured details your intake team needs, and routes the call or the record to the right claims queue based on rules you set. The agent does not decide coverage, liability, or settlement. Those decisions stay with your adjusters, where they belong.
Where does caller data go when we use PeachDesk?
It depends on the sourcing mode you choose per pipeline stage. On self-hosted stages in Local mode, speech-to-text, the language model, and text-to-speech run in your environment, so caller audio and transcripts for those stages stay inside it. On managed stages in Frontier mode, that stage's data goes to the cloud provider you selected for it. Telephony audio always transits your carrier. The deployment page and our data residency note spell out the boundary per stage.
What happens to call recordings and transcripts after the call?
You set retention windows per workspace, and automated purge deletes recordings and transcripts when the window closes. Credentials for telephony and model providers are stored encrypted, and tenant isolation between organisations is enforced in code and guarded by a CI test, so one workspace cannot read another's data.
Is PeachDesk certified for insurance workloads?
Bibha holds SOC 2 and ISO 27001, maintained at the Bibha AI Trust Center, with ISO/IEC 42001 and EU AI Act readiness in progress. We make no insurance-specific certification claims. If your compliance team needs a particular attestation, bring the requirement to a conversation with our team and we will tell you plainly what exists today.
